3. Oscillating levels of hunger. If you eat a large amount of carbs you run the risk of taking your blood sugar for a roller coaster ride. Why? Because carbohydrates have the biggest impact on blood sugar levels. The best way to counteract this is with an enormous vegetable intake.

4. Sluggish arm fat loss. If you’re looking for fast results this probably isn’t the diet for you. When cranking up the carb intake, fat loss comes at a very slow rate.

Now high carb diets can work for some women. Who? Those with fast metabolisms and no insulin resistance. How can you tell if you’re insulin resistant? Look at your stomach. If it’s disproportionately large compared to your other body parts, then you may be insulin resistant. Insulin resistance increase visceral fat, the fat that is around the organs in your stomach.
